Hamas health ministry alleges Israeli troops interrogate hospital staff in Gaza

The Israeli military is currently inside Kamal Adwan hospital in northern Gaza, as reported by the Hamas-controlled health ministry spokesperson, Ashraf Al-Qidra. Al-Qidra claims that the hospital director, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kahlot, and all medical staff, including female personnel, are being held in the emergency department and undergoing interrogation.

On Monday, Dr. Al-Kahlot informed CNN that Israeli forces surrounded Kamal Adwan hospital. A recent tank shelling targeted the maternity ward, resulting in the death of two women and severe injuries to two others, requiring leg amputations. Dr. Al-Kahlot appealed for the lifting of the siege to bring in water and fuel, emphasizing the hospital's dire conditions. The IDF attributed clashes near the hospital to responding to "Hamas' barbaric attacks." The Israeli military maintains it operates in and around hospitals used by Hamas and armed groups.
